Used to express probability, possibility, wonder, or conjecture; usually translated as would, could, must have, or probably.
Conditional Tense (Spanish)
Expresses what would happen under certain circumstances.
The student said that he would study one more hour. (Spanish)
El alumno dijo que estudiaría una hora más.
What time could it have been? (Spanish)
¿Qué hora sería?
He must have been at home. (Spanish)
Estaría en su casa.
We were probably busy when you called. (Spanish)
Estaríamos ocupados cuando llamaste.
