*What do Christians believe? /5

  1. One God in the Trinity — God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  2. Jesus is the Son of God — fully God and fully human; He died and rose to save humanity.

  3. The Bible + Tradition — both Scripture and Church Tradition guide faith.

  4. The Sacraments — especially the Eucharist, which Catholics believe is the real presence of Jesus.

  5. Salvation through faith and good works — living out God’s teachings through love, service, and moral actions.

* What is Pentecost? /4

  • Pentecost is the day the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles in the form of wind and tongues of fire.

  • It occurred 50 days after Easter and marks the fulfillment of Jesus’ promise to send the Spirit.

  • The apostles were empowered to speak in many languages and began preaching boldly.

  • It is considered the “birthday of the Church” because the apostles began their public ministry.

E. Long Answer:(/12)

Explain the 7 Sacraments and how many most Christians observe.

In the Catholic Church, the seven sacraments are special signs of God’s grace that mark important moments in a Christian’s spiritual life.

  1. Baptism
The first sacrament, where a person becomes a member of the Christian community. It symbolizes cleansing from sin and beginning a new life in Christ.

  2. Confirmation
Strengthens the grace received in baptism. The Holy Spirit is received in a deeper way, helping the person live out their faith more fully.

  3. Eucharist (Communion)
Catholics believe the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus. Receiving the Eucharist brings believers closer to Christ.

  4. Reconciliation (Confession)
A sacrament of forgiveness where a person confesses sins to a priest and receives absolution from God.

  5. Anointing of the Sick
Brings spiritual healing, comfort, and sometimes physical healing to someone who is seriously ill or near death.

  6. Holy Orders
The sacrament where men become deacons, priests, or bishops. They serve the Church through leadership, preaching, and celebrating sacraments.

  7. Matrimony (Marriage)
A lifelong covenant between a man and a woman blessed by God, symbolizing love, unity, and family.

How many sacraments do most Christians observe?

Most Christian denominations do not practice all seven sacraments.

  • Catholics and Orthodox Christians observe all 7 sacraments.

  • Most Protestant Christians only recognize 2 main sacraments:

    1. Baptism

    2. Eucharist (Communion)

They focus on these two because they were directly instituted by Jesus in the Bible.
