What is Federation?

What does federation have to do with the constitution?

Leaders and people wrote the constitution to find out how the federation would work.

The House of Representatives and the Senate make and amend the laws of the country.

Who is in the Executive and what do they do?

The Prime Minister and the Governor-General manage the laws of the country.

What is a right?

Something that you get to have (for free) by law.

What is a responsibility?

Something that you have to do that is legally binding by law.

What are three things that Local Government is responsible for?

Libraries, parks, rubbish collection, etc.

Schools, public transport, prisons, etc.

What are three things that Federal Government is responsible for?
