Term for the President as the ceremonial head of the United States, the symbol of all the people of the nation - Beyond direct negotiations with other nations and their people, the President of the United States acts as Ceremonial Head of State through holding and attending state dinners.

Term for the President as vested with the executive power of the United States - The President is responsible for implementing and enforcing the laws written by Congress

Term for the President as head of the administration of the Federal Government - He is responsible for all federal departments, including cabinet departments, such as the State Department, and independent agencies, such as NASA.

Term for the President as the main architect of foreign policy and spokesperson to other countries - As Chief Diplomat, the President travels around the world representing the United States. While on these trips, he will attend meetings and ceremonies, meet the leaders and people of other countries, and sometimes have time for sight-seeing.
Chief Legislator
Term for the President as architect of public policy and the one who sets the agenda for Congress - The President has the power either to sign legislation into law or to veto bills enacted by Congress
Commander in Chief
Term for the President as commander of the nation's armed forces - The President as Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy is the supreme military commander charged with the responsibility of protecting and defending the United States.
Chief Economist
Term for the President as monitor of the nation's economic condition - The President makes sure that the federal government's budget is sound and assists in creating policy proposals for creating new jobs or to raise or lower federal taxes.

Term for the President as the leader of his or her political party - The president acts as the leader of their political party and supports other governmental candidates who support the same policies
