Security group (Workday)
A collection of users granted specific access rights in Workday; used to control permissions and resource access.
Revoke membership
Process of removing a user from a security group, thereby removing the permissions tied to that group.
Employee self security group
A Workday security group associated with an employee's self-service access; membership determines self-service capabilities.
Contingent worker
A non-employee worker (temporary/contract); classified differently from employees in Workday.
Convert contingent worker to employee
Process to change a contingent worker's status to employee; there is no reverse conversion from employee to contingent worker.
Terminate user account
Disabling or removing a Workday user account to revoke access; does not terminate the worker record itself.
All users security group
A public-based Workday security group that includes every user; used as a baseline or broad access group.
Workday assigned security group
Security groups that are assigned by Workday (as opposed to custom or external groups) to grant access.
