Separation
A propagation method where natural structures from certain plants are removed from the parent plant to form new plants.
Division
A propagation method where parts of a plant are cut into sections, each capable of developing into a new plant.
Bulbs
Specialized underground plant parts composed of leaf scales that store food and enable propagation.
Corms
Solid, compact stems that serve as reproductive structures, used to store food and reproduce by developing cormels.
Rhizomes
Underground stems that grow horizontally, producing roots below and stems above.
Tubers
Swollen ends of underground shoots or stems, characterized by their eyes which sprout to produce new plants.
Tuberous Roots
Thickened roots containing large amounts of stored food, having buds only at the stem end.
Asexual propagation
Methods of reproducing plants without sexual reproduction, such as separation and division.
Perennial plants
Plants that live for more than two years, commonly propagated using separation and division methods.
