-by 5, use left or right hand, one that is used more is more skillful

-small % of ppl are ambidextrous, use both hands with equal skill

-Buttons, snaps, and zips clothing

-Cuts, pastes, colors, and molds with clay skillfully

-Writes entire words

4 years large motor skills

-Gallops and hops

-Jumps forward as well as in place

-Throws overhand with body control

5 years large motor skills

-Stands and balances on tiptoe for short periods

-Skips, alternating feet

6 years large motor skills

-Throws and catches a ball with more ease and accuracy

-Rides a bicycle
