File
A collection of digital data stored as a single object on a disk.
Folder
A tool designed for organizing files that serves the same purpose as a physical folder to store documents.
Home Row Position
A standard keyboard placement for typing that makes it easier to reach other keys on the keyboard.
Ergonomic Workspace
A workspace setup designed for comfort and efficiency, which can include a chair with lumbar and back support (or resting feet flat on the floor) and maintaining a temperature around 20-24.
File Extension
A label that helps show what type of file you are looking at, such as MP4 for video or MP3 for audio.
.mp4
A file extension for a video file that contains both video and audio data.
.pptx
A PowerPoint file extension for presentations created by Microsoft PowerPoint.
.xsls
An Excel spreadsheet file extension that contains data in worksheets such as graphs and grids.
.jpg
A file extension commonly used to store digital photos.
Chronological File Organization
Arranging files in chronological order to make it easy to access files that were recently used.
File Opening Click Count
The standard target of 5-8 clicks required to open a file.
CTL U
A keyboard shortcut used to underline text.
CTL A
A keyboard shortcut used to select all items or text.
CTL P
A keyboard shortcut used to print a document.
CTL V
A keyboard shortcut used to paste.
Strong Password
A password designed to ensure accounts are difficult for unauthorized users to access, such as an 8-character password like 'Reliable'.
Account Securing Recommendations
Best practices including using unique passwords for each important account, using a password manager, using different passwords for every account or device, and never sharing passwords with family.
Data Backup
The process of saving copies of data to protect against hardware failures, broken hard disks, and to recover from malware.
8 Parts of a Letter

A letter formatting style where the document is double spaced and left aligned.
