Linear Movement

Angular movement

Movement rotating around an axis.

General Motion

A combination of both linear and angular motion.

Transfer of Weight

Dancer moves their weight from one body party to another. Centre of Gravity is projected onto another body part and releasing the original body part.

Centre of Gravity

The point through which the entire mass of the body may be considered to act.

Base of Support

The area of ground bounded by the points of the body in contact with the ground.

Balance

The equal distribution of weight when at rest or moving. Body’s centre of gravity falls within the base of support.

Force

Force on a body will start moving.
