Internal Disaster
A type of disaster limited to the hospital premises, occurring due to events such as fire or exposure to hazardous material, and requiring a localized small response.
External Disaster
A disaster that may affect the community or hospital, occurring due to events such as an earthquake or epidemic, and requiring a broad and larger response.
JSY (Janani Suraksha Yojana)
A scheme launched on 12 April 2005 with the goal of reducing MMR and NMR by promoting institutional delivery among poor pregnant women at no expense.
