Interphase

1. Prophase (pro=first)

Nuclear membrane starts to disappear

nucleus breaks apart

DNA starts to form chromosomes (like X’s)

centrun migrates- opposite sides of nucleus (kinda looks like a sun)

2. Metaphase

centrals migrate starts to the side

pushing centrals and chromosomes to the middle

4. Telaphase

cell membrane pinches

reenter interphase (daughter cells)

3. Anaphase

cell itself has gotten longer (expanded)

chromosomes pulled apart
