Prime Meridian
a meridian (a line of longitude) in a geographical coordinate system at which longitude is defined to be 0°
Absolute Location
describes the location of a place based on a fixed point on earth. The most common way is to identify the location using coordinates such as latitude and longitude. Lines of longitude and latitude crisscross the earth.
Primary Source
is a document or physical object which was written or created during the time under study. These sources were present during an experience or time period and offer an inside view of a particular event.
Secondary Source
are documents written after an event has occurred, providing secondhand accounts of that event, person, or topic.
Bias
prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair.
Culture
the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively.
Latitude
the angular distance of a place north or south of the earth's equator (also known as parallels)
Longitude
the angular distance of a place east or west of the meridian at Greenwich, England (Also known as meridians)
