Stoichiometry
The study of relationships between the amount of chemicals used and the amount of chemicals produced in a balanced reaction.
limiting reactant
Determines how much of the products can be produced in a chemical reaction.
mole ratio
Corelates two different chemicals in a balanced equation, for Stoichiometric calculations.
STP conditions
For all gas reactants and products, they must be at O Celsius, 273 K, 1 atm & 101.3 kPa.
theoretical yield
The amount of product we expect to produce based on the stoichiometric calculations.
excess reactant
When one reactant is more than is needed based on Stoichiometry and is left over at the end of the reaction.
percent yield
A ratio of the experimental or actual yield to the theoretical yield.
mole
The Avogadro Number of particles, or one ____ , is the key to all stoichiometry problems.
actual yield
The amount of product obtained at the end of a reaction in a lab experiment.
molar volume
When calculating the amount of gas produced or consumed in a reaction, we use the equality 1 mole = 22.4 L.
