. Discuss why liquid water can exist on Earth.
Earth’s placement in the solar system makes it have the right temperature to hold liquid water. The right size, so gravity holds onto the water on Earth.
Explain how water moves from a liquid, to a solid, to a gas.
Water expands when it is frozen because its molecules join together, and the energy around them isn’t strong enough to pull them apart. When water boils, the energy is enough to pull the molecules apart, and they escape in the form of a gas.
List the different processes involved in the water cycle.
The cycle includes evaporation, transpiration, condensation, sublimation, precipitation, and surface run off.
