(framework for program development)

  1. input (research/data collection) - research field to find what activities work for your program

  2. process (activities)

  3. outputs (specifics behind activities) - budgets, hours of therapy/support groups, numerical measurement

  4. outcome (short-term effectiveness) - ex. client getting a job, or decrease in depression

  5. impact (long term benefit, maintaining the outcome, collective outcome of many people in the program as opposed to individual) - get impact through follow-up with clients *required by federal gov’t, no assessment means no funding or program closure
