Disturbances of normal Homeostatic mechanisms.
Homostatics
Refers to stability, balance for equilibrium within a cell or a body; defined as the relative stability of an organism's internal environment.
Negative feedback
The mechanism used to regulate an organism's internal environment in response to internal and external stimulants.
Homo static regulation
The adjusting of systems to keep a stable internal environment through constant adjustments as conditions change inside and outside the cell.
Dynamic equilibrium
A state of balance where conditions are not absolutely constant or unchanging, but are maintained through constant adjustments.
Reset Point
The narrow optimal range within which the body keeps internal conditions.
