Adminsier 120 joules
If converted, record ECG and monitor vital signs
SVT: Stable
Perform Carotid Sinus Massage
Administer Adenosin 6mg rapid IV push (raise arm)
Administer synchronized cardioversion 120 joules
If converted to NSR, record ECG
Check vital signs
Normal Sinus Rhythm: Hypotension
Stop CPR
If from arrest → “Pt. Revived”
Monitor Vital Signs
Titrate Dopamine 5mcg
Normal Sinus Rythm
Stop CPR
If from arrest → Announce NSR “Pt. Revived”
Monitor vital signs
Verbalize return of spontaneous circulation
Normal Sinus Rhythm: Hypertension
Stop CPR
If from arrest → Announce NSR “Pt. Revived”
Monitor vital signs
Stop dopamine
PEA: Pulseless Electrical Activity
Start/Resume CPR (2 min)
Administer Epinephrine 1 mg (ever 3-5 min)
Check ryhthm and pulse after 2 min of CPR
Resume CPR if needed
Sinus Bradycardia: Unstable
Stop CPR (if from arrest “Pt. revived)
Administer Atropine 1mg q 3-5 min (max of 3)
Administer Dopamine 5-10 mcg/kg.min
Monitor closely for Cardiac Rhythm, BP, and O2 until stable
Sinus Bradycardia: Stable
Stop CPR
If from arrest —> NSR announce “Pt. revived”
Sinus Tachycardia
Monitor vital signs closely
