The Spirit -  SOA

The Spirit:

The Spirit is the immaterial aspect of the person, its often associated with conciousness, rationality and the capacity for the relationship with God.

“The Spirit gives life, The flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you - they are full of Spirit and life.”

This verse from Jesus emphasises the primacy of the spirit over the flesh, suggesting that true life and understanding come from the spiritual realm.

The Soul

The Soul:

The soul is often understood as the eternal aspect of a person, transcending physical existence and continuing beyond death. It is the seat of emotions,

"For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?" - Matthew 16:26

This passage highlights the eternal significance of the soul and suggests that material wealth or success cannot compare to its value.
