Cell membrane
The protective layer of a cell. It controls what comes in and what comes out of the cell.

Nucleus
A part of the cell containing DNA and RNA and responsible for growth and reproduction

Cytoplasm
It contains dissolved substances, enzymes, and the cell organelles.

Vacuoles
Cell organelle that stores materials such as water, waste, salts, proteins, and carbohydrates

Lysomes
Uses chemicals to break down food and worn out cell parts

Cytoskeleton
A network of fibers that holds the cell together, helps the cell to keep its shape, and aids in movement

Centrioles/Centrosome
Organelles that assemble microtubules

Ribosomes
Carry out protein synthesis and makes protein

Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER)
The transportation system of the cell. It moves materials around the cell

Golgi apparatus
They collect, package, modify, and distribute synthesized materials such as carbohydrates

Chloroplasts
Capture energy from sunlight and use it to produce food for the cell

Mitochondria
Releases energy from glucose

Cell wall
A rigid structure that surrounds the cell membrane and provides support to the cell

Pili
Join bacterial cells in preparation for the transfer of DNA

Flagella
It allows the cell to move
