Slave broker

Young white man that goes down to the upper south and purchases enslaved people and puts around 10 in shackles. He might walk through Alabama and Georgia and try to buy and sell until he reaches Louisiana or Mississippi.

Enslaved families

Many families were split because enslavers needed to pay extra bills and sold families.

Running Away

Most run back to the plantation they were sold from to reconnect to their families again

 Task Slavery

Every enslaved person is given a task in the morning, most of the time it deals with crops, once you're done with the task, you're done for the day.

 Forces enslaved to work, violence, most hated, only worked for 2-3 years before they got fired because enslaved people worked slower or they pretended they liked him.

Overseers second hand man, enslaved person that tells on the community, chosen from a group of favorite slaves, loses the community of enslaved on the plantation

Enslaved women that escaped and became a dressmaker for Mary Todd Lincoln for Abraham’s Inaurgation. Told the story of little joe, a child that is taken away from his mother at 5 years old

Pregnant women

They had beating too, they dug a hole in the ground so that they wouldn’t fall to the ground in pain and the beating would last longer.
