People tend to be the most satisfies when they are in their elder years when they maintain an activity level that is similar to what they experienced previously

Low levels of depression both before and after the death
Chronic grief
Low pre death depression but after the death we see a prolonged experience of depression
Common grief
Spike in depression following a death but the depression gets better
Depressed-improved
Prior to the death there is a high level of depression following the death the depression improves
Chronic depression
High levels of depression prior to the death and those high levels maintain after the death
