What was Benito Mussolini’s background and how did he come to power?
After Benito Mussolini threatened to march on Rome in 1922, Liberal members of the Italian parlement insisted that the king declare martial law. When the king declined the cabinet declined, Then the leader of Italy made Mussolini prime minister which made Mussolini gain power quickly. Benito Mussolini came to power by using violence through his black shirts and using his emotional speeches to persuade the audience to follow him in his evil actions
What is the background of Adolf Hitler and how did he come to power?
Adolf Hitler served in world war one and then got injured during the war. After the war he decided to apply for an art school in Vienna Austria and then got rejected twice. After getting rejected he started blaming the Jewish citizens. Then he tried to lead a march to seize power but then got arrested and went to jail for high treason, and in jail he wrote a book called Mein Kampf. Hitler rose to power by joining the Nazi power and slowly rose to the top. While he was in the Nazi power he gave persuasive speeches to Germany about how he could save their economy and get them out of their depression.
What was the Germans Military like and what was their fighting strategy?
The German military was determined to get as much land as possible so they could become a world power and eventually take over the world. Their military was very big and used powerful weapons even though the Versity's treaty said otherwise, Germany's fighting style was Blitzkrieg or lighting war. In 1939 Nazi Germany started invading parts of countries starting in Poland which forced Britain and France to join the war. During all of this America tried to stay neutral and didn’t support either sideuntil the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The Blitzkrieg strategy combined swift attacks with coordinated air and ground forces to overwhelm opponents quickly.
