Binominal Sign Test

* Repeated Measures Design

Calculating a BST

> If condition A has a greater score than condition B, then the direction of difference is negative (A>B = -)

> If condition B has a greater score than condition A, then the direction of difference is positive (B>A= +)

* Calculated value = The \**smaller number of signs*\* signifying the direction of influence (+ signs and - signs)

> For this to be significant, it has to be \**less than or equal to*\* the critical value (of the \**0.05 section (3)*\* in the LOS table)

Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test

* At least Ordinal Data
* Repeated measures design
* Looking for a difference
* Smaller value = Value of test statistic (T)

Chi-squared

Used to determine if there are significant differences in the distribution of two data sets.

* Nominal data
* Either independent groups or correlation (since it is looking for a difference, its unlikely to be correlation)

Mann-whitney U test

Determines whether two uncorrelated means differ significantly when data are nonparametric

* Ordinal data
* Independent groups

Spearman’s rho

* Ordinal data
* Correlation

Unrelated T test

A parametric test for difference between two sets of scores

* Interval

Related T test

A parametric test for difference between two sets of scores.
