Energy can nor be created not destroyed only transferred (moved) and transformed (changed into a different form).

What is chemical energy?

Energy stored in chemical bonds.

Energy stored in a object that has been stretched or compressed.

What is electrical energy?

Energy that travels through electrical circuits.

What is gravitational potential energy?

Energy stored in a object that has been raised to a higher point.

What is heat energy?

Measured as the change of temp of object.

What is kinetic energy?

Energy of motion, which any moving object has

What is light energy?

Energy in the form of waves, emitted from a glowing object.

What is Nuclear energy?

Energy released from or stored in the nuclei of atoms

What is sound energy?

Energy in form of vibrating particles in water,air or solid transferred as waves.

How can energy be transferred?

E.g: A rolling marble has kinetic energy, and if it collides with a stationary marble, both marbles move away, A energy transfer occurs from first marble to the second one.

How can energy change form?

Can take place by using technology such as toaster, transforming into gravitational potential energy and back to kinetic energy and to sound then heat energy.

What is open system?

Matter can flow into and out of the system/ Such as heat energy and light energy can flow into and out of the system. (Matter can be exchanged.)

What is a closed system?

A closed system means matter can not flow into or out of the system(oxygen can not enter of leave, Energy such as heat can easily flow into and out of the system.

What is a isolated system?

Isolated system regards the fact no matter or energy cannot escape or enter (completely isolated)

What is the formula of GPE?

 mass × gravitational field strength × height gravitational field strength = 9.8 N/kg

What is the formula of kinetic energy?

0.5 × mass × (speed)²
