Symbiotic Relationship (1.1)

A close interaction between two different species

Commensalistic Relationship (1.1)

Where one organism benefits while the other organism is neither harmed nor benefited.

Predator-Prey Relationship (1.1)

Interaction between two organisms, where one organism (the predator) hunts and consumes another organism (the prey) for food.

Mutualistic Relationship (1.1)

Where both species involved benefit from their interaction

Parasitic Relationship (1.1)

Where one organism benefits at the expense of another organism, which is harmed

Competition (1.1)

When two or more organisms compete for limited resources such as food, water, territory, or mates.

Resource Partitioning (1.1)

The division of limited resources among different species in order to reduce competition

Temporal Partitioning (1.1)

When species use the same resources but at different times, reduces competition

Spatial Partitioning (1.1)

Different species or group of species uses different areas/habitats within the same environment to reduce competition for resources

Morphological Partitioning (1.1)

Species evolving different physical traits (ex. body size) to reduce competition for resources and coexist in the same habitat
