Preterite Tense

Used for completed actions. Regular -AR endings: -é, -aste, -ó, -amos, -asteis, -aron. Regular -ER/-IR endings: -í, -iste, -ió, -imos, -isteis, -ieron. Remember common irregulars like ser/ir (fui), tener (tuve), estar (estuve).

Imperfect Tense

Used for habitual or ongoing past actions. Regular -AR endings: -aba, -abas, -aba, -ábamos, -abais, -aban. Regular -ER/-IR endings: -ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -íais, -ían. Irregulars: ir (iba), ser (era), ver (veía).

Future Tense

Expresses what 'will' happen. Formed by adding endings to the infinitive: -é, -ás, -á, -emos, -éis, -án. Watch out for irregular stems, such as tener (tendr-), salir (saldr-), and hacer (har-).

Conditional Tense

Expresses what 'would' happen. Formed by adding endings to the infinitive: -ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -íais, -ían. Uses the same irregular stems as the future tense (e.g., tener → tendr-).
