Newton's First Law
An object's motion (or lack of motion) won't change unless an unbalanced force acts on it. Also called the Law of Inertia.
Inertia
An object's resistance to a change in its motion. More mass means more inertia.
Newton's Second Law
Force equals mass times acceleration. Formula: F = ma.
Newton's Third Law
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Net Force
The overall force acting on an object when all individual forces are added together. A non-zero net force causes acceleration.
