What are the requirements for Baptism?
Water (matter), faith, parent (if a baby), minister (can’t baptize yourself) , haven’t been baptized before this, correct formula (Trinitarian formula).
What is the purpose of Bapitsm?
Want to be free of Original Sin, rebirth as an adopted child of God these are important to our identity and salvation. Baptism is the gateway to the other sacraments.

When someone wants Baptism, tries to live a holy life, but you don't have the sources to do that or you didn’t have the knowledge to know that it was so essential.

There is a small exorcism even though the person isn’t possessed, but to fight off the attacks of the evil one that are to come in their life. Parts of the rites are similar to an exorcism.

No, you can’t baptize with the oil or replace the water for something because it has to be water.

Main reason Is because he wants to take our sin even though he didn’t have sin and show us the way to join in the new covenant through His cross. He wanted to become one of us without sin; take on all of our sins and suffering and give us the great example of righteousness.

Because we are tainted; Original Sin (concupiscence). Jesus came to restore and repair us. Original Sin didn’t completely destroy us; there is still good in us.

You have the help of the Holy Spirit throughout your life even if if you reject it your whole life (He is always trying to work in your life after Baptism).
Why is it important to baptize infants/babies?
Once you realize the importance of Baptism and that you have the responsibility to have your child baptized you would find it very risky to not baptize them. You don't want to get to the end of your life and have to be faced with the question of why did you not baptize your child even though you had the opportunity to do it.
