What does EDD stand for?
Estimated Due Date.
What does EDC stand for in obstetrics?
Estimated Confinement Date.
Define Preterm pregnancy.
Pregnancy from 20 weeks up to 37 weeks gestation.
Define Term pregnancy.
Pregnancy from 37 to 42 weeks gestation.
Define Postdate pregnancy.
Pregnancy greater than 42 weeks gestation.
What is viability in obstetrics?
Ability to live outside the uterus; typically 24 weeks gestation or fetal weight > 500 g.
Gravida
A person with a uterus who is pregnant (or has been pregnant).
Nulligravida
A person with a uterus who has never been pregnant.
Primigravida
Pregnant for the first time.
Multigravida
Has had two or more pregnancies.
Parity
Number of pregnancies in which fetus(es) have reached viability.
Primipara
A person who has completed one pregnancy.
Multipara
A person who has completed two or more pregnancies.
G/P notation
Gravida/Para; GTPAL expands to Term, Preterm, Abortions, Living.
GTPAL: Term (T)
T stands for Term.

P stands for Preterm.
