The mind is the complex of facilities involved in perceiving, remembering, considering, evaluating, and deciding. The mind is not the brain they are separated because the spirit of God has a mind (romans 8:27).

Cognition is thinking and encompasses the process associated with perception, knowledge, problem solving, judgement, language, and memory. Intelligent is the range of functions that are possible for cognitive capacity.

Having your heart in the right place leads cognition and intelligence which will lead to emotions. Biblically focused mindset will improve once ability to perform a job better, to be more valuable, increase confidence, and ultimately love one another better through service .

Volition is the inner part of you that actually takes actions, you have to have an element of caring, deciding to do or not to do. Increase in volition helps in success, discipline, control and ultimately love

identity is a persons sense of self, including their beliefs, values, and personal characteristics. It is the understanding and recognition of one’s own individuality. Our identity is ultimately in christ and is more than just our environment but is built into who we are and who God want us to be.

What is emotion? How do various emotions effect and influence the decisions we make?

Sensory response based on cognitive processes, values, and beliefs. The primary emotions of happiness, sadness, anger, and fear can influence the choices we make if we act upon them. It is important to practice the fruit of the spirit of self control in order to honor god and not let your emotions cause you to sin.

In our building model the mind represents the people working in the business.

Cognition - Are the people working able to perform they jobs they need to?

Intelligence - What is the max capacity of the work they can accomplish?

Volition - does the person actually do their job?

Identity - Does the person working know what they are working for or even want to be there? Do they know how they fit?

Emotion - The worker’s sensory response based on above
