Do you consider yourself a night owl or an early bird?
Definitely a night owl. I usually concentrate better when everything is quiet at night, although I know that habit isn't ideal when I have to get up early the next morning.
Do you eat healthy food?
I try to, although I wouldn't claim that my diet is perfect. I prefer home-cooked meals because they're generally easier to keep balanced, and I don't eat fast food as a major part of my routine.
Do you exercise regularly?
Not as regularly as I'd like. My final-year schedule can get crowded with study, research and occasional teaching, so a formal workout is hard to maintain. Walking to university is the exercise I do most consistently.
Do you have a healthy diet?
I'd describe it as reasonably healthy rather than perfect. I prefer home-cooked food and I don't build my routine around fast food, which is a good starting point.
Do you play any sports?
I used to play football quite often, but I don't play nearly as much now because university and research take up a lot of my time. I'd like to get back into it more regularly.
Do you play or watch any sports?
I used to play football much more often, but I don't get round to it as much as I'd like now because university keeps me busy. Sport is something I value, but it isn't a major part of my current schedule.
Do you prefer playing sports or watching them?
I'd rather play a sport than just watch it because I like the feeling of actually being active. I used to play football much more often before university, but my current schedule makes it difficult to do that regularly.
Does studying late affect your sleep?
Yes, it definitely can. I'm naturally a night owl and I often feel productive when everything is quiet, so I sometimes keep working on research or study tasks later than I should.
How do you stay healthy when you have a busy schedule?
I try to build healthy choices into my normal routine rather than rely on a perfect plan. I walk to university, prefer home-cooked meals and try to sleep enough, although consistency is still the hardest part when my schedule gets busy.
What sports are common in your country?
Football is definitely one of the most popular sports in Vietnam, both to play and to watch. Badminton, running and gym-based exercise are also quite common because they're relatively accessible.
What sports are the most popular in your country?
Football is definitely one of the biggest spectator sports in Vietnam. Even people who don't play it themselves often follow major matches and support their favourite teams. It's one of those sports that can bring a lot of people together.
What sports would you like to try in the future?
I'd probably like to try more outdoor activities such as hiking rather than an extreme sport. I love mountains, forests and natural scenery, so hiking would combine exercise with something I already enjoy.
What stops you from exercising more often?
Mostly time. When university work, research and teaching overlap, exercise is often the first thing that gets pushed aside. That's why walking to campus has become my most reliable form of daily physical activity.
What time do you usually go to bed?
Usually around midnight, and I get up at about 6:30. It's not the best routine, so I'd like to move my bedtime earlier when my schedule becomes less hectic.
Do you like playing sports?
Yes, although I play much less than I used to. Football was my main sport before university, but these days my schedule is busier and it's harder to play regularly.
Do you like swimming?
Not particularly. It isn't one of my regular hobbies, but if I were at a nice beach or pool, I'd be happy to swim for a while.
Do you like to go swimming on holiday?
Yes, if there's a nice beach or clean pool. Swimming wouldn't be the main reason for my trip, but it would be a nice extra when I'm somewhere warm and close to nature.
How often do you exercise?
Not as often as I'd like. I don't currently have a fixed workout routine, but I walk to university regularly, so at least I get some movement every day. I'd like to add football or basic workouts more consistently.
How often do you swim?
Hardly ever as part of my normal routine. I don't regularly go to a swimming pool, so it would mainly be something I'd do on a trip if the setting was nice.
Do you think it is important to play a sport?
Yes. Students like me can spend a huge amount of time sitting in class, studying or using a computer, so some physical activity is important to avoid a completely sedentary lifestyle.
Do you think it's good to have a nap during the day?
Yes, as long as it's short. A brief nap can help people recharge and improve concentration, especially after a poor night's sleep or a very demanding morning.
Do you think walking is a good form of exercise?
Yes, especially for someone like me who lives close to university. I walk to campus quite often, so it gives me some daily movement even when I don't have time for a formal workout.
Is it difficult to learn how to swim?
I think the basics are fairly manageable with proper instruction. The harder part is developing good breathing and coordination, which takes practice. Once those movements start to feel natural, swimming becomes much easier.
Is there a sport you would like to try?
I'd actually like to return to football regularly before trying something completely new, because it's a sport I already enjoyed when I was younger.
Why do you play less football now?
The biggest reason is that university changed both my schedule and my social circle. I don't have the same group of friends nearby that I used to play with, and engineering takes a lot of time.
Would you like to change your sleeping habits?
Yes, that's actually one habit I'd really like to improve. I'm more productive at night, so changing the routine won't be easy, but I'd like to sleep earlier and more consistently.
Would you like to exercise more in the future?
Yes. Once my schedule becomes a little more stable, I'd like to exercise more consistently. I don't need an extreme routine; even regular football, walking or basic workouts would be an improvement.
Would you like to swim more in the future?
Possibly, but it's not a major goal for me. If I travel more to beaches or other places near water, I might naturally do it more often.
What would you like to change about your lifestyle?
My sleep schedule, first of all. I'm a night owl and often stay up later than I should, so I'd like to sleep earlier and more consistently. I'd also like regular exercise to become a normal part of my week.
Does the weather affect your daily routine?
Yes, especially when I need to get to university. Heavy rain can disrupt walking and transport, while extreme heat makes it harder to concentrate. I function best in cool, dry weather because almost everything feels easier.
Has the weather in your area changed in recent years?
It feels less predictable to me than it used to, although I don't track it scientifically. Some periods seem unusually hot, and heavy rain can be intense. Either way, I still find cool, dry weather the most comfortable.
What kind of weather do you like most?
I prefer cool, dry weather, especially when there's some gentle sunshine. I feel more energetic in cooler temperatures, and it's much easier for me to study, travel and sleep comfortably.
Is there any type of weather you dislike?
Heavy rain is probably my least favourite because it can disrupt travel and flood roads. I also struggle with extreme heat and humidity, so my ideal conditions are cool and dry with a bit of sunshine.
How does heavy rain affect transportation where you live?
It can make transportation noticeably slower and more stressful. Since I normally walk to university, heavy rain also means I have to change my routine or wait for better conditions. That's one reason I'm not particularly fond of rainy weather.
What do you usually do when it rains?
I'm not a fan of rain, especially heavy rain. It can make travelling inconvenient and sometimes turn a simple commute into a real hassle.
When does it rain most in your hometown?
It tends to rain most during the rainy season, when we can get long spells of wet weather rather than just a short drizzle. I'm not a big fan of rain because heavy rain can make travelling much more inconvenient.
Do you enjoy rainy days?
Not particularly. I prefer cool, dry weather because rain makes travelling and walking to university much less convenient. If I can stay indoors, a rainy day isn't terrible, and I might read or listen to music.
Do you think people prepare well enough for heavy rain?
It varies. In places that get heavy rain regularly, people are usually better prepared with drainage, weather alerts and practical habits, but sudden flooding can still cause problems. I usually check the forecast before travelling.
