DM-SOP
Device Management Standard Operating Procedures, which provide step-by-step instructions and standards for maintaining accountability, security, and sustainability of CPS devices.
ITM
The department internal to CPS responsible for owning and reviewing the Device Management Standard Operating Procedures.
Devices (CPS Assets)
All CPS owned assets including administrator/teacher laptops, student laptops, iPads, internet hotspots, accessories (chargers, docking stations, monitors), copiers, and 3D printers.
Warehouse Device Assignment
The assignment status for devices located in the warehouse, labeled as Type: Staff, Name: Warehouse Device.
Principal Name Assignment
The assignment status for devices located in schools, labeled as Type: Staff, Name: [Principal Name].
Inventory Tracking Software
The approved software solutions for monitoring CPS device inventory: One2One Manager, RemedyForce, Absolute, and FileWave.
Secure Device Management Cart
The required storage equipment for all devices not in use within buildings to ensure security.
Family Technology Support Center
The support entity for students reachable at (513)363−0688 or ITMHelp@cpsboe.k12.oh.us, available in English and Spanish.
MyTomorrow Techs
School Technicians specifically available for support within High School buildings.
Contingency Devices
Supplemental devices that are assignment ready and maintained in designated carts for new students or staff needs.
High School/Junior High Contingency Count
The standard quantity of 20 laptops required for contingency carts in these buildings.
Elementary/Junior High (K-12) Contingency Count
The standard quantity of 10 iPads required for contingency carts in these buildings.
Rising Stars Contingency Count
The standard quantity of 5 iPads required for contingency carts in these buildings.
Acceptance Usage Policy and Mobile Device Agreement
The standard CPS forms and policies that all students, teachers, and staff must adhere to when assigned a device.
In-Person Distribution
The protocol requiring all device distributions to be conducted in person to validate the identity of the individual receiving the hardware.
Damaged Device
A device characterized by having a physical or hardware malfunction as defined in DM-SOP 4.
RemedyForce
The system used by the IT Support Desk or Technicians to enter and manage break/fix tickets and service requests.
Stolen Device Status
The specific assignment in One2One Manager used by DMT to account for equipment reported as stolen.
Police Non-Emergency Number
The phone number (513)765−1212 used by DMT to report stolen devices to the Cincinnati Police Department.
Device Movement Request Procedure
The formal process for moving printers and copy machines, which requires a RemedyForce ticket and acknowledgement from a Principal or department supervisor.
