UCC lien
is a legal claim a lender places on a borrower’s personal property to secure repayment of a debt, typically filed under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). UCC lien arises when a lender or seller takes a security interest in personal property offered as collateral for a loan or credit. It allows the lender to claim the specified assets if the borrower defaults, ensuring repayment of the debt. Unlike real estate liens, UCC liens generally cover movable or intangible property such as equipment, inventory, accounts receivable, or certain fixtures attached to real property if properly specified in the security agreement and filings
