Basic vs. Applied Research

Mundane realism vs. experimental realism

Measurement error

validity
Face validity (how test appears to the person taking it), criterion validity ( accurately predict behavior- produce similar results to other established measures), construct validity ( does the test unruly are giving measure the entire construct- broad measure)
content validity vs. convergent vs discriminante
