When the sun rises exactly on the axis, resulting in equal sun and night time. (Mar 21 & Sep 22)

1. It gets less daylight, bc the sun’s path sets faster

2. It gets indirect sunlight bc the sun directly hits the equator.

3. There’s less heating of the ground and atmosphere

What are two reasons why Canada is colder during the winter?

During the summer the sun takes a longer and higher path to set, therefore making it warmer.

Why do we get longer days with sunlight?
