complete dominance
a relationship in which one allele is completely dominant over another
incomplete dominance
a relationship in which one allele is not completely dominant over another; heterozygous genotype creates a third, blended phenotype
Codominance
a relationship in which neither of two alleles of a gene is dominant over the other; heterozygous genotype creates a phenotype where both alleles are expressed (you "see" both alleles)
multiple alleles
When there are three or more alleles for a trait. There is usually a hierarchy of dominance within the alleles. EX: Rabbit fur F > C > H > a
Sex-lined traits (X - Linked)
Trait where the allele is located only on the X or Y chromosome. We only focused on X linked traits.
