Set
a collection of objects
Members of a Set
the individual objects within a set; written by listing within a pair of braces
Venn Diagram
a diagram that uses circles to represent sets
Subset
when a set is fully a part of another set in a Venn Diagram
Disjoint
when a set is fully separate/cannot realistically be a part of another set in a Venn Diagram
Overlapping
when a set may or may not be able to be part of another set
Note:
if the inside of a set within a Venn Diagram argues one thing, the outside argues the negation (i.e, if one circle notates men, and the other notates doctors, those outside the men circle are women, even if it’s inside the doctor circle.)
