Controls heartbeat, breathing, and blood pressure.
Reticular Formation
Controls arousal (alertness) and consciousness (sleep & wake cycles).
Thalamus
Receives information from senses except smell and routes it to the correct brain region.
Cerebellum
Processes sensory input, coordinates movement, balance, and nonverbal learning/memory (skills).
