Potential Energy (Eg)
100% of the energy at the highest point.
Kinetic Energy (Ek)
100% of the energy at the lowest point (before it stops).
Thermal Energy
Energy that flows from a hotter object to a colder object until both reach a common temperature.
Friction
Causes kinetic energy (Ek) to convert to thermal energy (Ethermal) when an object moves.
Gravitational Force (Fg)
The weight of an object, calculated using the formula Fg = mg, where m is mass and g is acceleration due to gravity (9.8 m/s²).
Momentum (p)
The product of mass and velocity, expressed as p = mv.
Elastic Collision
A type of collision where two or more objects collide and bounce off each other.
Inelastic Collision
A type of collision where two or more objects collide and stick together.
Free-body Diagram
A diagram that shows all the forces acting on an object.
Motion Diagram
A diagram that shows the velocity of an object over time, indicating whether it is constant, increasing, or decreasing.
