Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) Error
An error that occurs when the calculated Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) value of a received frame does not match the CRC value sent with the frame, indicating the data was corrupted during transmission.
Runt
A network frame that is smaller than the minimum Ethernet frame size of 64 bytes.
Giant
A network frame that exceeds the maximum Ethernet frame size or MTU.
Drop
A frame that is discarded due to congestion or insufficient buffer space.
Error Disabled
A switch port state in which the switch automatically shuts down a port after detecting a serious error or security violation.
Administratively Down
A port or network interface that has been manually disabled by a network administrator.
Suspended
A switch port state in which the port is disabled because of a configuration incompatibility, commonly an LACP/EtherChannel mismatch.
