Essay: explain the main ideas of transcendentalism, discuss why these ideas are dangerous compared to a biblical worldview, give your opinion on whether or not this philosophy could be plausible

Transcendentalism is a philosophy that says people should trust themselves, look to nature for truth, and follow their intuition. It believes in Individualism and an "Oversoul" that connects everything. But these ideas clash with a biblical worldview. The Bible teaches us to rely on God, not just our instincts (Prov. 3:5-6). While transcendentalism says nature is divine the bible says God created nature, but He is not the same as it. Transcendentalism values intuition, but the bible says our feelings can mislead us, so we should trust God's word instead. It also promotes individualism, but the bible teaches that we should live in a community with others. Because transcendentalism focuses on human instincts and not God's truth, it is not a practical philosophy for someone who believes in the bible.
