Authority

The power or right to make decision that citizens follow both by force or willing

Direct Democracy

citizens are directly involved in the decision making power and are the one to come to an agreement and make a descision

Elite Democracy

A small group of people come together to agree on a decesion to be made

Legitimacy

The belief of citizens that the government has the authority to exercise authority

Majoritarian politics

states that what the majority of people want, usually seen through voting, is what the governmental bodies should do

Public policies

rules and laws are made in order to keep the people in line or respond to an issue of the people

Political powers

the power of political figures of the government, not always expressly given in the constitution but sometimes also refers to implied powers

Participatory policies

The ability for people to vote directly on policys

Pluralistic democracy

no one group has total power over the government, issues are handled by different political bodies and said body’s compete for social dominance and authority

Representative democracy

citizens vote for representatives and those representatives vote on major political designs for the people.
