Eucharistic Adoration
The Holy Eucharist, or the bread and the wine, becomes Jesus’s body and blood is central to Catholicism, the consecrated host and the blessed sacrament; Catholics believe the holy eucharist is Christ himself; the holy eucharist warrants the same adoration and worship given to god

Corpus Christi Procession
on the feast of the body and blood of Christ, a procession takes place with the blessed sacrament in a monstrance; the priest or deacon, with all the faithful, process from inside the church to outside; they may stop at different locations to read scripture and pray with the Blessed Sacrament
Forty-Hour Devotion
The 40 hours refer to the number of hours that Jesus was in the tomb before resurrecting; a consecrated host is placed in a monstrance and put in the center of the altar; parishioners come and go, praying before the blessed sacrament

fasting is the practice of limiting food intake, while abstinence refers to refrain from certain foods, typically meat, on specific days
