Why do people become vegetarian
They do not agree with killing animal for human consumption
they do not like the way animals are treated during the rearing and killing process

Lacto vegetarian
No meat fish or eggs. Will eat diary products

No meat fish or any animal products such as milk cheese or eggs. Eats only plant based foods.
Vegetarians may be lacking in these nutrients
Iron, protein, Vitamin D, calcium, Vitamin B12
Iron for vegetarians
Found in mostly red meat and meat products. Vegetarians have to get their iron from vegetable sources, which is non-haem which is not absorbed as easily. This means vegetarians must get a lot of Vitamin C to absorb the iron
Pescatarian
No meat or poultry. Does eat fish, shellfish and other animal products such as milk,
Protein for vegetarians
vegans will mainly be eating LBV proteins and will have to have to protein combination.
calcium and Vit D for vegetarians
A vegan is going to struggle get either of these nutrients so they need to ensure that they are eating plenty of green leafy veg, nuts seeds tofu, etc.
Vitamin B12 for vegetarians
vegans will need to rely on fortified foods such as marmite, soya milk, sunflower, margarine and breakfast.
