multiple motor and one or more vocal tics for 1 year or more

stress, disappear with sleep

obsessions, compulsions and labile mood

basal ganglia damage can result in hypokinetic or hyperkinetic movement disorders depending on the location of the lesion and the resulting neuronal firing patterns of the direct and indirect pathway components
