Art from the 1970s up to the present that mirrors contemporary culture and society through diverse and emerging practices.
Angono Petroglyphs

Manunggul Jar

Value
A property of color that refers specifically to its lightness or darkness.
Texture
The element that appeals to the sense of touch relating to the surface of an art piece (e.g., rough, smooth, bumpy, or slippery).
Proportion
The principle of art concerning the relationship of the size of elements in a body of art.
Harmony
The unity of an artwork achieved through the arrangement of related elements.
Variety
The use of multiple, different elements to break monotony and make an artwork more interesting.
Movement
The illusion of motion in an artwork that directs the viewer’s eyes along a specific path or flow.
Rhythm
The visual repetition or pattern of elements like lines or colors that creates a feeling of organized movement.
Balance
The principle of art referring to the even and equal distribution of elements.
Emphasis
A principle of art referring to the greater impact given to a certain element to attract attention.
