TORCH Acronym
A group of infections including Toxoplasmosis (弓形虫), Other infections ( vaircella, syphilis, maternal infection), Rubella, Cytomegalovirus (CMV), and Herpes simplex virus (HSV).

Cataract Extraction
A surgical procedure performed when the patient can not cope.

There is no medical treatment available.
Intraocular lens (IOL) Implantation
The process of placing a lens into the eye after the removal of a cataractous lens.
Intraocular inflammation
A contraindication for the implantation of an intraocular lens.
Severe diabetic retinopathy
A contraindication for the implantation of an intraocular lens.
