D-Needs

Democratic Orientation
Self-actualizers respect others regardless of differences and are free of prejudice.
Peak Experiences
Intense, often mystical experiences that can transform an individual, commonly reported by self-actualizers.
Philosophical Sense of Humor
A characteristic of self-actualizers who prefer humor that is insightful rather than based on hostility.
Creativeness
The ability to perceive the environment in original and inventive ways.
Detachment
The need for privacy and self-reliance, where being alone is seen positively by self-actualizers.
