Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)

is characterized by persistent, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) performed to reduce anxiety.

Obsession

are intrusive thoughts, images, or urges that repeatedly enter a person's mind. Paulit-ulit and mahirap iignore, causes anxiety or distress, and difficult to control or ignore

Compulsion

repetitive behavior or mental acts to reduce anxiety caused by obsession. Ginagawa para maaddress yung anxiety or distress na cinocause ng obsession. Feels necessary to perform even if irrational. Only temporarily relief kaya paulit-ulit

Tic disorders

characterized by involuntary movements (such as sudden jerking of limbs), to co-occur in patients with OCD (particularly children) or in their families.

a type of obsession that overly perfectionist, thus symmetry. Balance, nasa tamang pwesto, pantay arrangement. Common stereotype sa may OCD. hindi nagpapapasok sa bahay nila para di magulo gamit nila. Compulsion nila is pag aarrange.

Body dysmorphic Diosrder (BDD)

or imagined ugliness is a mental disorder where indiviudals are preoccupied with perceived flaws in their physical appearance, even if these flaws are minor or unnoticeable to others which cause them significant distress and interfere with daily life. (looking repeatedly at mirrors, excessive working out) (nag ssuicide pag di na keri)

Muscle dysmorphia

the individual is preoccupied with the idea that their body built is too small or insufficiently muscular.

Hoarding Disorder

is a mental disorder characterized by persistent difficulty discarding or parting with possessions, regardless of their actual value. This leads to excessive accumulation of items, causing clutter that significantly impacts living spaces and daily functioning. (nag co-collect pag teenager tas pag tanda hoarding na kasi marami na nahoard) (they think equal lahat ng value ng items) (strong emotional attachment to possessions)

Animal Hoarders

comprise a special group that is now being investigated more closely. Animal hoarders are characterized by the failure or inability to care for the animals or provide suitable living quarters, which results in threats to health and safety due to unsanitary conditions associated with accumulated animal waste. (They treat their animals as a human)

Trichotillomania

or hair-pulling disorder is a mental disorder characterized by repetitive pulling of hair resulting in hair loss or bald patches. This can be hair from the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, or other parts of the body. (1% and 5% with females college students)

Excoriation

or skin-picking disorder is a mental disorder characterized by repetitive picking of the skin leading to skin damage. This can be a healthy skin, minor skin irregularities, pimples, or scabs. (due to stress, boredom and may feel guilt or shame afterward) (female disorder)

Impulse control disorders (ICDs)

involve impulsive behaviors (acting suddenly without thinking) driven by a desire for pleasure, excitement, or tension relief. (gusto lang nila for pleasure)

Obsessive-compulsive and related disorders

involve compulsive behaviors (repetitive behaviors caused by anxiety or distress) driven by the need to reduce discomfort caused by anxiety or distress. (para mareduce yung stress or anxiety nila, hindi talaga nila gusto)
