Coconut Palm - Cocos nucifera

Fiji Fan Palm - Pritchardia Pacifica

The Fiji fan palm has wavy, stiff leaf tips that stick straight out, the seed stalks are short and equal to the leaf stems, tucked neatly inside the canopy, and produces tiny fruits (under half an inch wide) packed tightly together.

Loulu - Pritchardia spp.

A Hawaiian loulu will usually have drooping or floppy leaf tips that weep toward the ground, the seed stalks are often long, arching, and heavy, dropping down well below the leaves, and produces larger fruits, often the size of marbles, golf balls, or large olives.

Date Palm - Phoenix spp.

Royal Palm - Roystonea spp.

Royal palms can grow from 50-70ft and have a bulge in their trunk.

Chinese Fan Palm - Livistona spp.

Bismark Palm - Bismarkia nobilis

Mexican Fan Palm - Washingtonia spp.

Fishtail Palm - Caryota spp.

Blue Latan Palm - Latania spp.

Foxtail Palm - Wodyetia spp.

Grows only to 25-30ft, and has a straight trunk.

Bottle Palm - Hyochorbe lagenicaulis
